Our Approach to Chiropractic Care in Prior Lake and Savage
Those who are new to chiropractic adjustments often don’t realize there are numerous types of chiropractic care. At Watkins Family Chiropractic in Prior Lake & Savage, we primarily use what is called the “Diversified Technique”. This technique uses quick, shallow movements to manipulate the spine and joints, which corrects misalignment, relieves pressure, restores range of motion, and removes interference to the central nervous system.
Though patients will hear and feel these adjustments, they are safe and pain free. Still, some patients prefer or respond better to a gentler approaches. We can also utilize a small device called an Activator. This device sends gentle impulses into your vertebrae, joints, and extremities, relieving pressure and restoring communication in your nervous system.
In addition to Diversified and Activator treatment, we offer the Graston Technique. This uses a non-invasive instrument to identify issues in soft tissue and treat them accordingly. The Graston Technique can break up scar tissue, reduce inflammation, restore motion, and eliminate on-going pain. Dr. Lindsay Kerr is our in-house Graston Technique Specialist.
Our Savage and Prior Lake chiropractic care can be supplemented with massage therapy, electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), and physical therapy, all of which we offer in our office.
